Casino2k marks first SiGMA Italia Awards nomination in Rome

Casino2k added another milestone to its recent industry recognition after being shortlisted for “Best Affiliate 2026” at the SiGMA Italia Awards in Rome.
The nomination was the first ever for Casino2k at SiGMA and came only a few weeks after the platform had also been named a finalist in two categories at the EGR Italy Awards 2026: “Affiliate of the Year” and “Casino Affiliate”.
For founders Matteo Giannone and Salvatore Martorana, the latest recognition reflects the progress of a project that has been active in Italy’s regulated online gaming market for almost two decades.
Casino2k has developed its model around both editorial content and direct interaction with players. Alongside its coverage of regulated online gaming, its Forum has become an important part of the project, giving users a space to share experiences, ask questions and seek support when dealing with issues involving operators.
The SiGMA nomination also gave the Casino2k team another opportunity to strengthen its presence within the wider iGaming industry. From November 2 to 5, SiGMA World brought operators, affiliates, software providers and other industry professionals together at Fiera Roma for four days of meetings, discussions and networking.
For Giannone and Martorana, the value of attending went well beyond the awards ceremony itself.
“Being shortlisted for the first time at SiGMA is already a major achievement for us,” Martorana said. “Of course, we would have loved to win, but events like this are also about meeting people, exchanging ideas and understanding how the industry is evolving. We had the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, create new ones and return home with plenty of new perspectives.”
Although Casino2k did not take home the award, the team views the nomination as another positive step in a period marked by increasing recognition within the industry.
The focus now returns to the development of the project itself, with Casino2k aiming to continue improving its editorial work, strengthening relationships with operators and maintaining the close connection it has built with its community over the years.
