Vega Gibraltar partners with Hungry Monkey to expand weekly initiative following profitable first year

Vega Gibraltar partners with Hungry Monkey to expand weekly initiative following profitable first year

Vega Gibraltar, the search and performance marketing agency, has announced the expansion of its Vega Wednesdays initiative following a profitable first year of operations in Gibraltar and consecutive record-breaking months.

Originally launched in September as a bold PR activation, Vega Wednesdays saw Vega deliver free pizzas to marketing teams across Gibraltar every Wednesday. The aim was simple. To rebuild trust in agencies by physically demonstrating what Vega stands for. An agency that actually delivers.

The concept launched with a high-impact PR stunt that saw more than 100 pizzas delivered across Gibraltar in under two hours. The activation created immediate visibility across the local business and marketing community and validated the core idea behind the campaign.

In 2026, Vega Wednesdays will enter its next phase, partnering with Hungry Monkey, Gibraltar’s leading food delivery platform, to scale the concept. The partnership will enable free delivery every Wednesday for the whole country, turning Vega Wednesdays into a recurring, scalable marketing platform where Vega can truly own Wednesdays on the Rock.

Bulb Creative Agency, Vega’s creative partner, has supported the campaign’s visual identity and creative execution, helping translate the delivery message into a distinctive and recognisable brand moment.

The move reflects Vega Gibraltar’s broader growth story. The agency has closed its first year on the Rock in profit and continues to hit record months month on month. In the same period, Vega has been recognised across the industry, winning at the European Search Awards, the Digital PR and Content Awards, and the Global Search Awards.

The agency now works with a growing roster of high-profile clients including tombola, Casimba Gaming, and Lottoland, delivering performance-led strategies across search, paid media, and growth consulting.

Mat Caldwell, CEO of Hungry Monkey, commented:

“Vega Wednesdays immediately stood out as a smart, authentic idea that puts delivery at the heart of the message. Partnering with Vega allows us to support something genuinely positive for the Gibraltar community while working with a team that understands how to scale ideas properly. This partnership is about consistency, reach, and doing things the right way.”

Commenting on the campaign, Carl Hallam, Founder of Vega Gibraltar, said:

“Vega Wednesdays started as a statement. Marketing teams have lost trust in agencies that talk a good game but fail to deliver. We wanted to make our positioning impossible to ignore by physically delivering every week.

“The launch proved the concept. The next phase is about scale. Partnering with Hungry Monkey allows us to do what we do best. Proper marketing, proper distribution, and working with partners who deliver results themselves. VEGA Wednesdays are no longer a stunt. It is a platform that reflects how we operate as an agency.”

“Vega Wednesdays will be supported by increased paid promotion and owned creative, ensuring consistent reach and visibility across Gibraltar’s business and marketing community throughout the year.”
