SOFTSWISS and SBC Host World Cup 2026 Webinar for LatAm Sportsbook Markets

SOFTSWISS and SBC Host World Cup 2026 Webinar for LatAm Sportsbook Markets

SOFTSWISS and SBC have hosted a joint webinar on how the World Cup 2026 will reshape sportsbook performance in Latin America. The session focused on why the region faces unique infrastructure pressure during the tournament and what operators must do now to stay stable and retain players.

The webinar, World Cup 2026: The Impact of LatAmHosting on Sportsbook Performance and Stability, brought together experts from SOFTSWISS, Stellar Gaming and Gamewiz to discuss how the industry can prepare for one of the most demanding betting periods in recent years.

Speakers pointed to the scale of the tournament as the main driver of risk.
“This will be the largest World Cup in history: more than 100 matches and 48 national teams. The load on systems will be enormous over a much longer period than we are used to. You cannot prepare for this in a week,” said Fellipe Fraga, Chief Business Officer at Stellar Gaming.

In LatAm markets, where user growth is accelerating, even short disruptions can affect brand perception. At the same time, the opportunity is significant. “We expect at least 30% growth in betting volume compared to usual peaks, with potential reaching 100%. The question is not whether players will come, but whether you can retain them after the final whistle,” added Bruno Palumbo, Country Manager Brazil at Gamewiz.

The discussion highlighted key pressure points, including reliance on third-party services and the need to maintain performance across extended peak periods. Operators must ensure stable integrations with payment systems, data providers, and KYC services, and prepare backup solutions to avoid downtime during critical betting windows.

Carolina Diniz Flauzino, Business Development Manager at SOFTSWISS, addressed a key regional challenge: “In Latin America, operators often focus on price rather than quality. But when platform stability is at stake during a global event, quality must become the only priority. A strong partner is your insurance for success.”

Her comments reflect the SOFTSWISS approach to the Sportsbook Platform. The solution is designed to handle high-load events through distributed infrastructure and continuous system monitoring, supporting integrations with multiple third-party providers across LatAm markets. It also includes risk management tools that help operators adjust limits and strategies during critical moments, reducing exposure and maintaining player trust.

“Technology is the only factor that can instantly shut down your business. We do not just launch a platform – we build an architecture that must withstand the storm,” said Fellipe Fraga

A recording of the webinar is available for operators who want a deeper look at infrastructure strategies for LatAm ahead of World Cup 2026.
