Legal Counsel (Disputes & Investigations)

Easygo Gaming
Job Description
Are you ready to get the Easygo Edge?
You're at your best when a matter is live, complex and moving fast. This role hands you a full caseload of claims, disputes and litigation across multiple jurisdictions, and the autonomy to run them. We want a proactive self-starter who can manage numerous matters at once, dive into the hard ones and find the way through without waiting to be told.
What you’ll build with us:
No two matters look the same. One day you're coordinating arbitration and mediation across jurisdictions and instructing external counsel; the next you're spotting legal exposure early and advising the business on how to contain it before it escalates. Discovery and investigations sit with you, and you'll lend your read on risk to strategic transactions too. It's hands-on, high-stakes work with a senior counsel backing you.
We know that innovation ignites when we build and create together, in person. This is a full-time opportunity at our Melbourne office. You’ll work right where it all happens, surrounded by our fearless crew shipping high-impact work.
Who is Easygo?
We’re a high-growth, high-velocity tech company with millions of eyeballs on us every day. We’re building the future of fearless tech.
We’re the creators behind some of the most popular brands including Stake, KICK and Easygo Games. While they command a fierce global following, our crew is employed directly by Easygo and that’s where the real fun happens.
We’re always looking for people who are hungry, humble and move fast. People who are ready to Unify, Disrupt and Evolve with us.
With us you’ll grow faster and go further. Your work has impact. And that gives you an edge you can’t get anywhere else.
The impact you’ll make:
- Manage and coordinate claims, disputes, arbitration, litigation and mediations across multiple jurisdictions, instructing external counsel, monitoring costs and case progress and advising the business on litigation risk and strategy.
- Identify and assess legal exposure early, advising on risk mitigation and helping the business manage contentious matters before they escalate, including enforcement, injunctions and interim relief.
- Run discovery and investigations, obtaining documents and information clearly as part of litigation and pre-litigation work.
- Support strategic transactions through due diligence and legal risk analysis and help streamline the way we manage disputes and litigation.
Your track record:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, admitted to practice in Australia, with 2 to 3 years PQE.
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial disputes across multiple forums, including court litigation, arbitration (domestic and international) and mediation.
- Able to manage large case loads and tight court deadlines, juggling multiple matters at once and prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders, plus strong negotiation skills.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Certifications or experience in dispute resolution, international arbitration or commercial litigation.
- Familiarity with cross-border enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.
- In-house claims-handling experience.
