 Bally’s Media operates the Bally Sports Live and Stadium sports streaming services. Bally Sports Live is a free live streaming app that allows sports fans to engage with their favorite events in real-time while fostering interactive fan communities and earning rewards for activities. Stadium, a joint venture between Bally’s and Silver Chalice (owned by Jerry Reinsdorf, who also owns the Chicago Bulls and White Sox), is a free advertising-supported streaming (FAST) sports network distributed through partners such as Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV and Prime Video, Tubi, YouTube TV, DirecTV and Fubo. Sports and events that Bally Sports Live and Stadium broadcast include Minor League Baseball, Savannah Bananas, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, GLORY Kickboxing, AVP Pro beach volleyball as well as betting shows.

What About The Role?

We’re looking for a Senior Live Streaming Engineer to help power the live sports experience for fans everywhere. From the moment a signal leaves the venue to the instant it hits millions of screens, you’ll own the streaming pipeline that makes game day possible.

This role sits at the heart of our broadcast technology stack. You’ll design and operate the infrastructure that delivers high‑stakes live events, jump into real‑time troubleshooting when every second counts, and partner with vendors and internal teams to keep the stream flawless. One moment you might be deep in a Zixi workflow debugging a signal path, the next you’re leading a vendor call to bring a new capability online.

What You'll Do

• Architect, deploy, and operate end‑to‑end live streaming workflows for major live sports events
• Own the signal path from ingest through encoding, packaging, and global delivery
• Troubleshoot live stream issues in real time, including signal integrity, ad markers, and SCTE‑35 triggers
• Lead technical projects from concept to launch, coordinating timelines across engineering, operations, and vendors
• Serve as a senior escalation point for broadcast engineering and live event operations
• Manage key vendor relationships, including onboarding new partners and resolving critical issues
• Document workflows, runbooks, and system architecture to strengthen team knowledge and operational readiness
• Partner closely with production and operations teams to ensure smooth, reliable event broadcasts

What We're Looking For

• Hands‑on experience with Zixi Broadcaster and Zen Master, including designing workflows across SRT, RTMP, and HLS
• Excellent understanding of HLS packaging, including segmentation, manifest structure, and ABR ladder design
• Expertise in video encoding with H.264 and H.265, including bitrate ladder strategy and GOP optimization for live streaming
• Experience building and operating cloud‑based broadcast infrastructure using AWS MediaLive, MediaPackage, and CDNs such as CloudFront or Fastly
• Practical knowledge of SCTE‑35 for ad signaling, passthrough, and verification in live streams
• Experience implementing multi‑DRM solutions
• Familiarity with modern remote and cloud production workflows

Nice To Have:

• Experience with stream monitoring and quality tools such as TAG Video Systems
• Scripting or automation experience with Python or Bash

Salary range: $140,000-$165,000 USD
