    Job Description

The Senior Governance Analyst plays a pivotal role in defining, executing, and advancing Aristocrat’s Enterprise Data Governance Framework. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to develop and drive the roadmap for data governance technologies and services that enable trusted, compliant, and high-quality data across the organization.

As a senior member of the Governance team, this individual partners with leadership in Data Governance, IT, and Enterprise Data & Analytics to define governance standards, promote data stewardship maturity, and influence enterprise data strategy.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead coordination and delivery for governance technologies (e.g., BigID, Alation), ensuring scalability, integration, and alignment with enterprise data strategies.

    • Partner with data platform teams and enterprise architects to identify and implement governance capabilities that improve data discoverability, quality, and compliance.

    • Serve as a domain expert and mentor to Governance Analysts, guiding guidelines for metadata management, stewardship, and policy adherence.

    • Define and lead the strategic plan for governance tools and processes, evaluating new technologies to drive continuous improvement.

    • Oversee metrics and reporting to measure governance adoption, tool utilization, and data quality improvements across the business.

    • Collaborate with global data owners, stewards, and compliance teams to ensure governance standards are embedded in business processes and data pipelines.

    • Lead collaborator communication and change management initiatives to promote a culture of data accountability and governance maturity.

    • Support the alignment of governance frameworks with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements globally.

    What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Governance, or related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data strategy roles.

    • Proven experience defining and implementing governance technology strategies and roadmaps.

    • Expertise with BigID, Alation, or comparable governance and privacy tools.

    • Strong collaborator engagement and influence skills, capable of driving alignment across technical and business teams.

    • Deep understanding of governance principles, data lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance.

    • Superb communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences.
