Well, what about the team?
The Global Data Privacy Team is on the search of an experienced Privacy Manager to join its team of global experts and support the company’s international privacy affairs with a background in online technologies and understanding of their privacy implications and security. This role supports the Global Privacy team, advising on privacy matters, identifying, and mitigating risks and helping to accomplish the privacy goals and mission of Bally’s. Background in EU, UK and international privacy laws is required, together with experience in privacy program management.
This role will report to the VP Global Data Privacy Officer and play a strategic role in the implementation of Bally’s privacy programme. The successful candidate will work closely with a wider team of varied stakeholders including members of the Global Legal Department, Data, Marketing, Cybersecurity, Product/Technical and International Compliance teams across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires senior management experience in supporting transformational privacy program, providing strategic advice and will oversee a team of two other experts.
So, what will you be doing?
- Support the Global Data Privacy Officer with the implementation of its privacy global compliance programme in GDPR led markets to support its online igaming operations and internal employee initiatives.
- Become an integral part of the global data privacy function and support the VP Global Data Privacy Officer with the maintenance of the 4 strategic pillars of Bally’s privacy programme – Privacy Operations, Privacy Assurance, Privacy Engineering and Privacy Solutions.
- Provide day to day privacy guidance to the International business Teams (including UK, Spain, Malta, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Asia, South America and other EU jurisdictions as required) and support operational activities required to support the management of an effective privacy programme (e.g., creating reports and documentation, using privacy software management tool, designing privacy compliance processes).
- Develop in-depth understanding of Bally’s group business to provide adequate and strategic recommendations and consultation on privacy inquiries.
- Ensure the Bally’s group complies with the EU/UK GDPR (and other legislations modelled on the GDPR).
- Be the point of contact for all privacy related inquiries from our international teams.
- Contribute to the preparation and the delivery of the quarterly Data Protection Committee.
- Support the Privacy Office with the completion of audits and provide recommendations to improve privacy practices to support our business across international markets. Support the Privacy Office with the development and reporting of privacy statistics (KPIs).
- Support and contribute to the delivery and management of Privacy Operations and Privacy Assurance tasks and practices to ensure the business needs are met, and privacy compliance are proactively identified and managed including (but not limited) to completion of data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), operational privacy compliance, managing maintenance and update international data inventories.
- Contribute to the existing privacy risk assessment process to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with the processing of personal data at operational levels and feed into the Data Protection Risk Register.
- Support the Privacy Office to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure the business compliance with its internal data protection related policies.
- Contribute to the management of third-party risks in collaboration with the Global Procurement Function and Global Legal Department.
- Support and advise the DSAR Team with the fulfilment of data subject rights in alignment with company policies.
- Contribute to the delivery of the company’s Data Privacy Training Programme training to educate, inform and train staff and foster a privacy culture across the company, including supporting Bally’s network of Data Guardians.
And what are we looking for?
- Excellent understanding of internal data protection laws including the EU/UK GDPR.
- Knowledge of other privacy regulatory framework including APPI (Japan) across Asia and South America (LGPD in Brazil) desired.
- Must be detailed oriented and passionate about privacy.
- Good understanding of online technologies and their privacy implications
