    Job Description

    We are seeking a hands-on, security-driven IT Specialist to support and scale IT operations across a fast-growing organisation of 250+ employees operating in a regulated environment.

    This role is critical in maintaining secure, automated, and scalable IT systems across multiple offices and remote employees. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with operational discipline, automation mindset, and regulatory awareness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. End-User Support & IT Operations

    • Provide first and second line support for on-site and remote users
    • Manage secure onboarding, offboarding, and internal role changes
    • Administer and manage identity platforms, including:
      • JumpCloud
      • Microsoft 365 / Azure Active Directory
      • Google Workspace
    • Maintain SLA-driven ticket handling via Jira Service Management or similar
    • Troubleshoot hardware, OS, SaaS, and identity-related issues
    • Support Windows, macOS, and Linux environments

    2. Identity & Access Management

    • Administer JumpCloud as a central directory and device management platform
    • Manage user lifecycle across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other SaaS platforms
    • Enforce least privilege and role-based access control
    • Implement and maintain:
      • MFA and SSO integrations
      • Conditional access policies
      • Device compliance rules
    • Conduct periodic access reviews and support audit requirements
    • Ensure secure and fully documented termination processes

    3. Endpoint & Device Security

    • Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions, including CrowdStrike
    • Monitor endpoint alerts and escalate security incidents appropriately
    • Enforce disk encryption, patching, and secure configuration baselines
    • Implement MDM and device policies through JumpCloud and/or Intune
    • Standardise workstation builds and automate device provisioning
    • Maintain structured asset inventory and lifecycle tracking

    4. Network & Infrastructure Support

    • Support LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and remote access environments
    • Work with firewalls, switches, and network equipment
    • Support network segmentation and secure access architecture
    • Assist in log monitoring and diagnostics
    • Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure hardening and improvements

    5. Automation & Continuous Improvement

    • Automate user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows
    • Improve IT processes through scripting and tool optimisation
    • Contribute to reducing manual operational overhead
    • Evaluate and implement new IT and security tools

    6. Security, Compliance & Regulatory Support

    • Apply IT security best practices aligned with regulated environments
    • Maintain audit-ready documentation
    • Support internal and external audit processes
    • Assist in risk remediation and control implementation

    7. Documentation & Knowledge Management

    • Maintain documentation in Confluence or similar
    • Develop standard operating procedures and security guidelines
    • Provide user training on security best practices
    • Contribute to policy enforcement and awareness initiatives

    Qualities we are looking for:

    • 3+ years experience in a similar role
    • Strong hands-on experience with:
        • Google Workspace
        • Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / JumpCloud
        • CrowdStrike or equivalent EDR solution
    • Experience managing hybrid and remote workforce environments
    • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPN, firewalls)
    • Experience with endpoint hardening and device compliance enforcement
    • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
    • Ability to prioritise based on business impact and risk
