Job Description
We are looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team within the Technology
Division. In this role, you will support day-to-day security operations, monitor for threats, assist with incident response, and contribute to improving our security posture across systems and infrastructure. This position is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of information security and a strong drive to grow in the field.
You will play a key role in helping keep Catena Media’s data and systems safe from cyber threats, contributing to both technical tasks and team initiatives that protect our business.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
- Monitor our infrastructure, applications, and networks for signs of security issues via our SIEM platform and other detection tools.
- Act as a first responder to internal security alerts and incidents, triaging and escalating where appropriate.
- Assist in investigating potential threats and documenting incidents for internal follow-up and improvement.
- Install, configure, and maintain security software including antivirus, endpoint protection, and encryption tools.
- Collaborate with peers and senior team members to assess and remediate vulnerabilities and maintain baseline security standards.
- Contribute to maintaining internal documentation for tools, controls, and response procedures.
- Support the implementation and administration of security tools, processes, and policies.
- Stay up to date on emerging threats, attack methods, and recommended security practices.
- Help develop and promote internal cybersecurity awareness and good security hygiene across the company.
- Be onsite a few days a week to assist with physical security and office-related support tasks.
- Any other adhoc tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:
- Genuine interest in information security, technology, and cyber defence
- 1–3 years of experience in an information security, IT, or technical support role (or strong willingness to learn on the job)
- A foundational understanding of core security concepts, such as firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and patching
- Some hands-on familiarity with system/network administration or IT troubleshooting
- Eagerness to grow into a more technical security role over time
- Understanding of risks related to common vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or user behaviour
- Advantageous: relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, SSCP, ISACA CCOA) or willingness to pursue during your first year
- Willingness to participate in occasional on-call rotations
