As a Finance Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in supporting financial control across the organization, contributing to reliable financial reporting, strong accounting practices, and robust internal controls. Working closely alongside diverse departments and senior finance partners, you will help ensure compliance, visibility, and ongoing improvement in our financial processes. This will empower the business to make informed and confident decisions.
This is a hybrid role based in Skopje, with 3 days per week onsite.
What will you do- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS standards
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results
- Review and support journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and overall general ledger accuracy
- Monitor and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies, procedures, and financial control frameworks
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal control processes
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and reporting obligations
- Assist with audit preparation and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Proactively see opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and key performance measurements for internal collaborators
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making
- Support cash flow monitoring and working capital management
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or progress toward certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Dynamic 365 or Priority).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and run several priorities.
The role requires strong analytical thinking, a high level of financial competence, and the ability to handle critical information with discretion and confidentiality. A problem-solving perspective is essential, along with the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership when needed.
