    Who we are

    Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. It currently owns and manages 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states. It also owns Bally's Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, online gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.

    With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games and 3,800 hotel rooms. Upon completing the construction of a permanent casino facility in Chicago, IL, and a land-based casino near the Nittany Mall in State College, PA, Bally's will own and/or manage 16 casinos across 11 states. Bally’s also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana

    Data powers our organisation strategic vision in the marketplace and creates an innovative workplace for our colleagues within the Ballyverse! The risk associated with the use of data continue to skyrocket within our global environment. Data breach, identity theft, financial loss, loss of customer or employee trust, brand reputation – you name it! These are the common threats to organisations of all size and in all sectors in today’s market. Here at Bally’s, we like to think we can make a difference with how we comply with our data protection and security regulatory compliance obligations.

    Our Privacy Office is group function led by our VP Global Data Privacy Officer, which supports all our employees whose line of work involve the processing of personal information about our employees, our players or any third party, to make sure we do it right. We are responsible for helping our organisation to successfully manage their privacy risks and protect their data. Our primary responsibility is the implementation of the organisation’s privacy programme across both Bally’s Interactive and Casino & Resorts across several jurisdictions. This means we can manage a variety of data protection matters and advise the business in different data protection regulatory landscape. Our team of experts brings together people within our organisation, tools and global information and security management practices that Bally’s need to thrive in our industry.

    Our key responsibilities include the implementation of policies and processes to ensure data protection and security of information entrusted to our organisation. We provide general data protection recommendations and compliance advice to the business to guide their path to compliance. We also execute a variety of technical tasks to operationalise our privacy programme including data mapping, consumers rights requests management, risks assessments, deliver training contents to raise privacy awareness, third party risks management but as well data governance with the delivery of a quarterly driven data protection committee.

    So, what will you be doing?

    • Supporting Bally’s appointed Data Protection Officer under the GDPR with regulatory duties defined in article 38 of the EU GDPR.
    • Be a focal point of contact for privacy related inquiries across Bally’s International business teams
    • Support Bally’s global privacy programme maintenance including drafting and reviewing privacy policies and procedures, employee training and awareness modules, data protection impact assessment consultations to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with the company’s data processing activities, supporting data inventory recordings (ROPAs) support vendor privacy practices management to ensure that data processing agreements and contacts comply with Bally’s data protection and Information Security requirements (in support of the Privacy Contract Manager, Cybersecurity and Global Legal Team), support the DPO and incident response teams to review, mitigate and advise on regulatory notifications of privacy incidents and associated risks and contribute to the maintenance of ISO 27701 Privacy Information Management System and controls framework.
    • Contribute to the reporting and accountability of the privacy programme via internal audit process and Bally’s data protection committee

    And what are we looking for?

    • Qualified Data Privacy Practitioner or UK / European qualified Lawyer
    • CIPP/E/M Certificate in Data Protection or equivalent recognised professional standard required.
    • Possess proven experience of advising on and leading privacy data protection compliance projects.
    • Experience using a privacy software management tool
    • Possess in depth knowledge of privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR legislations & other regional frameworks.
    • Possess previous experience in a privacy role in a multinational/global organisation (ideally in an online B2C business)
    • Advise on privacy and data protection aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
    • Advise cross functional teams ( including marketing, customer services and operations) on the data protection processes and compliance requirements, applying privacy by design principles and lawful data processing.
    • Experience conducting data protection impact assessment
    • Possess experience supporting incident response management (advisory)- partnering with Information Security/ Cyber Security or similar functions.
    • Able to proactively drive projects & exercise good independent judgment.
    • Have the ability to work automously, and handle multiple, often conflicting, priorities.
    • Possess experience in auditing frameworks and international standards, such as ISO etc
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and internationally with multiple partners and to translate data protection requirements into company common language and in line with culture/DNA
